Hello, I’m Hilary Hampel, the first full-time homeopath in Liverpool to register with the Society of Homeopaths, the largest organisation representing professional homeopaths in the UK, and I’d like to welcome you to my website.

I have extensive experience in the practice of homeopathy, have been in full-time practice since 1989 and have treated thousands of people of all ages. I have private homeopathy practices in north and south Liverpool and have been involved in an NHS funded complementary therapy project in Everton since 1992.

The north Liverpool homeopathy practices are at FORMBY OSTEOPATHY clinic in Formby, and ANNE RYAN COMPLEMENTARY HEALTH CLINIC in Crosby, with patients coming from not only Formby, Freshfield and Crosby area but also Bootle, Huyton, Knowsley, Ormskirk, Southport, Skelmersdale and Preston. I also see some patients at my home in Waterloo.

My south Liverpool homeopathy practice is in Grassendale at ALTERNATIVELY BETTER , a multi-disciplinary clinic, with patients not only from Aigburth, Cressington, Speke and Garston but also from the Wirral, Widnes, Wallasey, Birkenhead, Chester, as well as St. Helens, Warrington, Manchester, North Wales and Birmingham. Over the years my homeopathy practice on Merseyside has grown largely by word of mouth, and many referrals come from other healthcare professionals who know of my reputation as a well-established homeopath.

Patients include people of all ages, from all walks of life and with a wide range of conditions. These can be anything from babies with colic, teething, eczema, to all kinds of hormone-related conditions and adults with stress, depression, insomnia, hay fever, allergies or sports injuries, to name but a few. The remedies working as a catalyst to bring about well-being in every way, mentally, emotionally and physically.

I am well-known on Merseyside as one of Liverpool’s most experienced homeopaths. This is due to my successful practices and also from many years of teaching both the general public and health professionals/ students of various disciplines. I am a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice and also have professional indemnity insurance with them. This is the largest professional association for homeopaths in the UK, and the oldest, established in 1978.

More recently, other homeopathic associations have been established, and they have separate registers. When you consult a homeopath, it is always a good idea to ask where they are registered. At present, there is no law in the UK to say who can practise as a homeopath, so anyone can set themselves up. Membership of a register provides some protection for the public.

I am committed to a programme of CPD (Continuous Professional Development). I have individual supervision, and attend both national and international seminars and conferences as part of my continuing development.
