Hilary Hampel Homeopathy in Liverpool, Merseyside

I trained at the North West College of Homeopathy and qualified in 1989.
In 1992 I was admitted on the register of the Society of Homeopaths.
Following a two year post-graduate course at the Dynamis School for Advanced Homœopathic Studies I graduated in 1996.

It was during my 2nd year at the Dynamis School that I took part in the homeopathic testing of Salmon, along with 24 other students. This was my first experience of being involved in a ‘proving’ (homeopathic testing of remedies).

Following the Salmon proving I then took part in the Xenon proving with the Aurora Proving Group; and for a number of years was a prover in Melissa Assilem's Greek seminar provings where I proved Octopus, Petrified Sequoia, Venus, Stem Cell and the Greek Tree Essences.

Fom 1993 to 2011 I worked as a homeopath at Liverpool Centre for Health, an NHS funded Complementary Health Care service in Anfield, which provided homeopathy, acupuncture, osteopathy, remedial massage to the people of Everton, via their General Practitioners.
It began as a pilot project, which was deliberately set up in an area of deprivation where it was felt that there was a need for Complementary Health Care but where it was unlikely that the population would be able to pay for private treatment.for

In 2011 I was succcessful in bidding for my own service, the Hilary Hampel Homeopathy Service, which was based in Everton, and which I ran until 2014, when I decided to retire from the NHS.

In addition to my practices I have also taught the general public, health professionals and students of various disciplines over the years since I started in practice. I used to run numerous introduction to homeopathy classes on Merseyside and have also been a regional tutor and supervisor for homeopathy students, in addition to lecturing in hospitals. I ran a workshop at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital Inauguration Conference on ‘Complementary Therapies’, and have taught midwives, as also nursing, midwifery and medical students at Liverpool John Moores University, as also students on the Holistic Therapies course at Liverpool's Communiversity.

As part of my ongoing training and development, in 2011 I completed training on the issue of fertility in both men and women utilising homeopathic remedies.

I am a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths and abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice and also have professional indemnity insurance with them. This is the largest professional association for homeopaths in the UK, and the oldest, established in 1978.

I am committed to a programme of CPD (Continuous Professional Development). I have individual supervision, and attend both national and international seminars and conferences as part of my continuing development.

As a result of my knowledge of German I have also translated a variety of homeopathy-related documents, including five homeopathic remedy provings.
